Ten films to introduce young people worldwide to Mahler's Symphonies

Thank you for visiting this page to make a donation.

We are well on our way to achieving our goal, and your gift, to get us there by May 31, 2020, matters greatly.

Our Board of Directors invites you to join our worldwide community of supporters for a production we care deeply about:

10 documentaries about Gustav Mahler's works titled “A Hero’s Journey”

Together with Het Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Mahler Foundation has commissioned 10 films about Mahler's symphonic work. Each film was to have been shown just prior to the performance of the symphony in the Concertgebouw Hall. With the Festival cancelled, the films will be shown online instead, on each night the Festival would have occurred. Your gift enables us to meet our funding obligations for the films and secure our rights in and to the films, together with Het Concertgebouw.

In reality, your gift accomplishes much, much more! Through proposed translations and our network of global Mahler Societies, this will be a gift to music lovers worldwide, and most importantly, to the hundreds of millions of young people successively coming online across the globe for whom these films will be the gateway to Mahler's music and spirit.

If you have been profoundly moved by Gustav Mahler's music, please help us pay it forward with a gift of any size.

Our goal is to raise $190,000 by May 31, 2020.
